PROJECT H20

PROJECT H2O

Like every year, Volunteer for Bangladesh the Youth wing of JAAGO Foundation observed World Water Day. This years theme was inclusiveness, where we have included school students in our journey to bring sustainable change. Volunteer for Bangladesh along with WaterAid Bangladesh and Kinley organized a campaign named “Project H20”. The main objective of the campaign was to acknowledge the youth and next generation with theoretical and practical knowledge on SDG-6 -clean water and sanitation and implement SDG-6.

The campaign is divided into 3 phase-

  • 1st Phase – H2O Spirit – volunteers and school students were trained by experts from Water Aid Bangladesh on SDG – 6 – clean water and sanitation.
  • 2nd Phase – H20 Club Formation – H2O club was formed in each of the schools where students and volunteers of Volunteer for Bangladesh were assigned to do activities.
  • 3rd Phase – H20 Projects – Each of the H2O Club will be conducting water related projects in their schools for three months in their respective schools.

The campaign has been implemented in 8 divisions of Bangladesh to form H20 clubs across the nation. We whole heartedly thank WaterAid Bangladesh for becoming the knowledge partner and Kinley to support this campaign.
