Be a Teacher for a Day 2017

be a teacher for a day

A teacher is an architect of a nation. A teacher dispels the darkness and secures the future of many deviants students. It is said that a teacher is like a candle, which consumes itself to light the way for others. Realizing the importance of teachers in society, Volunteer for Bangladesh- Dhaka district celebrated teacher’s day in a unique way. VBD Dhaka district arranged an event called ‘Be a Teacher for a Day’ on 28th October, 2017. On this day, the volunteers themselves played the role of a teacher for one day.

This event was held from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm in different slots at ‘JAAGO Foundation School’ (Rayerbazar Branch) where volunteers got the chance to teach subjects of their own interests and to interact with some underprivileged children. They took classes in Origami, IT, Science Projects, Music, Dance & Public Speaking. The project was initiated and led by one of our core volunteer Yusuf Ahmed.

Thank you VBD Dhaka District for the great initiative.
