On International Sports Day 2026, Volunteer for Bangladesh - Dhaka District North proudly organized “The Joy of Cricket” at Pallabi Metro Station, Mirpur a heartwarming celebration of inclusion, teamwork, and happiness. With the participation of 20 incredible children and 12 dedicated volunteers, the day began with a warm registration and orientation session, setting the tone for connection and collaboration. Mixed teams of children and volunteers were formed to ensure inclusivity from the very beginning.
The highlight of the event was a friendly cricket tournament where the children actively engaged in batting, bowling, and fielding. More than competition, the focus remained on joy, confidence, and participation, creating an environment where every child could shine.
To make the day even more special, all participants were recognized with small gifts and prizes, followed by a reflection session where stories, laughter, and experiences were shared.
This initiative not only encouraged physical activity but also strengthened confidence, communication, and social bonding. Most importantly, it created a safe and joyful space where every child felt valued, supported, and celebrated.
