Volunteer for Bangladesh (VBD) – Gopalganj Sadar Upazilla organized the “Our Campus, Our Responsibility” project with Gopalganj District Board on 19 August 2026 at Gopalganj Science and Technology University to promote cleanliness, reduce plastic waste, and encourage students to take responsibility for their campus environment. A total of 150 volunteers and participants engaged in the initiative, directly benefiting all students of the institution.

The campaign included campus cleaning and waste collection, awareness sessions on cleanliness and plastic pollution, and the “Clean Campus Pledge.” Through these activities, students were encouraged to adopt responsible environmental practices and continue maintaining a cleaner campus. The involvement of students and campus cleaning staff helped strengthen the collective effort.

The impact was measured through participant engagement, waste collected, visible improvement in campus cleanliness, and participation in the Clean Campus Pledge. The initiative aimed to create lasting awareness and encourage young people to take continuous action for a cleaner environment. Through this project, Volunteer for Bangladesh Gopalganj District contributed to SDG 13: Climate Action by promoting environmental awareness and responsible practices among youth.
