At Volunteer for Bangladesh (VBD) – Sylhet District, we believe that mental health is not a luxury, it is a fundamental right. With that vision at heart, we launched My Mind, My Magic, a deeply meaningful initiative aimed at nurturing the emotional well-being of underprivileged children.
In a world where their silent struggles often go unnoticed, this event was designed to create a safe, supportive environment where children could express themselves freely, feel genuinely heard, and discover the strength that lies within them.
A Day of Healing, Expression, and Joy
With the compassionate support of 15 devoted volunteers, the children engaged in:
Together, we shared laughter, stories, and moments of pure connection. These experiences reminded us that healing begins with empathy, and that true resilience blooms when children feel seen, valued, and unconditionally loved.
More Than an Event A Celebration of Mental Wellness
My Mind, My Magic was not just a program, it was a celebration of self-love, inner strength, and emotional freedom. Through play, art, and heartfelt interaction, we empowered children to understand and embrace their mental health in ways they never had the chance to before.
This initiative is a small but significant step in breaking the stigma around mental health especially in communities where it is rarely acknowledged.
Because Every Child Deserves to Be Heard
At VBD Sylhet, we are committed to creating more spaces where mental health is prioritized and emotional well-being is celebrated. Because when children are emotionally empowered, they become stronger, happier, and ready to dream again.
Mental wellness is magic and every child holds it within.
