In response to the ongoing global challenges of climate change and environmental pollution, Volunteer for Bangladesh Chattogram District, in collaboration with Youth for Policy Chattogram Committee, organized a green initiative titled “Greener Earth for a Better Tomorrow 2.0.” The event took place on Sunday, 29 June 2025, at Agrabad Shishuniketan School, aiming to cultivate environmental awareness and responsibility among school students through meaningful engagement and youth-led action.
The campaign featured two major components: a tree plantation activity within the school premises and an interactive awareness session on climate literacy. A total of 30 youth volunteers facilitated the program, which reached over 80 participating students. The sessions focused on the impact of climate change, sustainable lifestyle habits, and how small individual actions contribute to a greener future. In addition, students took part in a special eco-activity where they brought reusable plastic bottles from home to repurpose them creatively, strengthening the message of recycling and plastic-free responsibility.
The entire initiative aligned with VBD’s ethical storytelling and plastic-free content standards. All visual materials were captured with care, featuring volunteers in official VBD T-shirts, with proper logo placement and without any visible single-use plastic. This event not only fostered knowledge but inspired a generation to act, reinforcing that sustainability begins with awareness and is strengthened by action.
